Since 2016, the Second Amendment Institute (SAI) has fought at the front of the lines in defense of your gun rights.

Through our grassroots educational advocacy and national field program of Students for Self-Defense, SAI differentiates itself from other gun rights organizations.

Students for Self-Defense is our nation’s only national student college program that recruits and trains college students on how to address and overturn deadly campus policies that restrict their right to self-defense.

Since SAI launched this program in October 2016, more than 3,500 students have joined the ranks.

SAI reached 1.2 million patriots in 2021 through our online educational advocacy, and more than 10,000 patriots received educational mail from us.

BRASS TAX FOR YOUR SUPPORT

The Second Amendment Institute has been at the frontlines of defense for YOUR Second Amendment rights since it’s 2016 launch. SAI has participated in and hosted more than 50 national and statewide grassroots gun rights events, educating every day patriotic Americans like you, on how to effectively defend your Second Amendment rights.

Because of the generous support from patriotic Americans like you, SAI is able to continue educating, activating, and empowering individuals to be effectively mobilized for the Second Amendment.

From 2017 - 2019, SAI recruited more than 3,000 college students across the nation through its program Students for Self-Defense. Unfortunately, COVID-19 negatively impacted this one of a kind project. However, SAI plans to hit campuses hard in the 2022 Fall Semester, and train thousands of more students how to defend themselves, and fight back against anti self-defense college policies.

Besides Students for Self-Defense, SAI participates in gun shows, self-defense seminars, and local gun rights events to ensure that both law-abiding gun owners and Second Amendment activists are receiving the best quality education on the market to effectively defend their Second Amendment rights.

SAI sends weekly gun rights email alerts and quarterly newsletters to its due paying members (join here). Members also receive member-only event invites, access to speak directly to Executive Staff and Board Members, and they also receive free gun rights thank you gifts occasionally.

Through SAI’s three core pillars of educating, activating, and empowering, along with the most diverse Second Amendment Board of Directors, SAI stands out from other gun rights organizations:

  • Being a 501(c)3 non-profit ensures that SAI’s grassroots and online educational advocacy program is non-partisan and void of political spin. SAI has a proven track record of attracting and recruiting all, despite political affiliation, giving SAI an upper hand in the fight.

  • Through the revitalization of Students for Self-Defense, SAI will sweep the nation, recruiting college students of all backgrounds; training them in self-defense and how to win the big policy battles on campus and end harmful anti self-defense policies, like pepper spray bans.

  • Fiduciary responsibility and transparency has always been a key practice since SAI’s inception. SAI has proudly held Platinum Status rank from GuideStar for four years, ranking SAI among the top 2.7% of non-profit organizations.

  • SAI plays its young age to its advantage. SAI is not beholden to the whims or personal politics of a large Board of Directors. SAI has a lot of time to expand with a more diverse, trustworthy Board, and ensure that there is no corruption
