TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Second Amendment Institute Events

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) apply to all events, conferences, seminars, trainings, meetings, webinars, and related activities (collectively, “Events”) hosted, organized, sponsored, or operated by Second Amendment Institute (“SAI”), whether held in person, virtually, or in hybrid format, and whether now existing or conducted in the future.

By registering for, purchasing a ticket to, or attending any Event, the attendee (“Attendee”) agrees to be legally bound by the following terms:

1. Assumption of Risk

Attendee acknowledges and voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation in any Event, including but not limited to risks of personal injury, illness, death, property damage, or other loss, whether arising from negligence or otherwise. Attendee accepts full responsibility for their participation.

2. Release and Waiver of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Attendee irrevocably releases, waives, discharges, and covenants not to sue Second Amendment Institute, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, volunteers, sponsors, venue operators, and representatives (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, damages, losses, or causes of action of any kind, whether known or unknown, arising out of or related to attendance at or participation in any Event.

This release applies to all claims, including but not limited to claims based on negligence, premises liability, personal injury, property damage, economic loss, emotional distress, or any other legal theory.

3. Indemnification

Attendee agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to Attendee’s conduct, participation, or presence at any Event.

4. Media Release and Waiver of Publicity Rights

Attendee acknowledges that Events may be photographed, recorded, livestreamed, or otherwise documented. By attending, Attendee grants SAI a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, publish, display, broadcast, modify, and create derivative works from any photograph, video, audio recording, or likeness captured during the Event.

Attendee waives any right to inspect or approve such materials and waives any right to compensation, royalties, or other monetary claim arising from the use of such media. Attendee further waives any claim for invasion of privacy, defamation, or right of publicity.

5. Refund Policy

All ticket sales and registration fees are final. Refunds, if any, shall be granted solely at the discretion of Second Amendment Institute on a case-by-case basis. Submission of a refund request does not guarantee approval. Processing fees and transaction costs may be non-refundable.

6. Code of Conduct

Attendee agrees to conduct themselves in a lawful and respectful manner at all times. SAI reserves the right to remove any Attendee from an Event without refund for disruptive, unlawful, or inappropriate behavior, as determined in its sole discretion.

7. Event Modifications

SAI reserves the right to modify Event programming, speakers, venues, schedules, or formats at any time without liability. SAI further reserves the right to cancel or postpone Events as necessary.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement or any Event shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the District of Columbia. Attendee consents to personal jurisdiction and venue in such courts.

9. Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

10. Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between Attendee and SAI regarding Event participation and supersedes any prior communications or agreements, whether written or oral.

BY REGISTERING FOR OR ATTENDING ANY SECOND AMENDMENT INSTITUTE EVENT, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE LEGALLY BOUND BY THESE TERMS.
