the need for Students for self-defense
Students for Self-Defense (S4SD) is the nation’s only national college student organization that mobilizes and equips students with the tools they need to change harmful anti-self-defense policies on college campuses.
Despite the annual rise in crime on college campuses, 85% of universities and colleges still restrict or completely ban pepper-spray on campus.
S4SD educates, empowers, and mobilizes college students from across the country to form chapters, address their university leaders, and change policies. Whether that be through petitioning, hosting rallies, or lawsuits.
With your generous, tax-deductible donation, S4SD can continue to recruit, educate, and mobilize college students to change oppressive university policies that put them in danger.
From 2017 - 2019, SAI recruited more than 3,000 college students across the nation through its program Students for Self-Defense.
Unfortunately, COVID-19 negatively impacted this one of a kind project.
However, SAI plans to hit campuses hard in the 2022 Fall Semester, and train thousands of more students how to defend themselves, and fight back against anti self-defense college policies.
